Terms

Website terms
for product information.

These terms govern use of the Being In Charge website and state the commercial disclosures a purchaser must explicitly accept before checkout. Software access and services remain subject to the accepted offer and applicable executed terms.

Current beta availability

Membership rights apply to available, authorized tools. Catalog entries, historical demonstrations and drafts do not establish that every workflow is ready. Check current in-app availability and prerequisites before relying on an action. Fax operations and cross-organization Coaching networking are unavailable; newsletters produce unsent drafts.

Standalone Client and Firm 100 each cost $100 per month and have distinct rights. Standalone Client is one named client seat with client-facing tools and no firm administration or customization. Firm 100 includes the firm workspace, role-governed firm tools, administration, Community and sponsored client access. Invited clients should use firm-sponsored access rather than buy duplicate access.

Membership includes no AI credit. Billable workflow AI is separately metered under the displayed terms and limits; the $100 offers retain their default 5-times usage multiplier. Manual Bot product help is platform-funded: it does not charge your account or consume your personal or firm AI allowance.

Supported workflows and unavailable capabilities
  • SOC and Scenario workflows support prepared sources and bounded retained client/engagement, CUF, control, attribute, request, evidence, workpaper, exception, recommendation and unissued-report paths. A source package or draft is not proof of all-system or population completeness, criteria coverage, professional sufficiency, signoff or issuance.
  • Coaching supports elementary authorized assignments, goals, notes and saved methodology drafts. Cross-organization search, matching, invitations and participation remain under development.
  • Newsletters support Personal and authorized Client retained sources and unsent drafts, editing and saved history. They do not send email, schedule external delivery, connect a mailbox or fetch source URLs; approval is not delivery.
  • Fax has an authenticated readiness view only. Sending, receiving, number purchase or porting, provider activation, private profiles/settings and retained-record access are unavailable.
  • Model/provider settings support the current governed policy and supported configuration. A registry entry does not prove every BYOK/BYOL, custom or partner provider can execute. A storage preference does not activate every storage provider.
  • Calendar summarizes authorized source records and own saved time entries. Performance reviews provide elementary retained templates and assigned self-input drafts; they do not establish HR, payroll, professional evaluation, authorization or finalization.
  • Persistent storage, Fileless rules, administrator policy and manual access actions remain distinct. Logical lifecycle checks do not prove months of physical ageing or universal deletion and recovery.
  • A receipt and current paid-period record establish their own recorded transaction and access facts. A TEST receipt proves a test transaction only, and a success page or configured callback does not prove live payment, current callback reachability or readiness of every product capability. Preserve the original payment/job history while status is pending.

This current availability guidance does not amend an accepted commercial version, price, offer identity, membership right, receipt or paid-period history. Accepted agreements and original records remain authoritative. Public commercial release and professional approval are separate.

01 / SCOPE AND ACCEPTANCE

Scope and acceptance

By using the website, a visitor agrees to these website terms and the posted privacy notice.

02

Separate agreements

  • Website browsing does not create a subscription
  • Paid access requires explicit acceptance of the displayed commercial contract before purchase
  • Payment does not bypass identity, named-user, role, security or application-admission checks
  • A website inquiry is not an acceptance, checkout or purchase
03

Pricing information

  • Standalone Client is $100 per month for one named client seat, full client-facing tools, no customization and separately metered usage at the default 5× BIC multiplier
  • Firm memberships are $100, $1,000 or $10,000 per month with default BIC usage multipliers of 5×, 3× and 2× respectively
  • The fixed membership fee and separately metered usage are both payable
  • Usage is normally invoiced one month behind
  • Taxes, payment terms and final scope belong in the accepted offer or executed order
02 / COMMERCIAL ACCEPTANCE AND USAGE

Commercial acceptance and usage

Before checkout, the purchaser must explicitly accept the current fixed-fee-plus-usage disclosure. Payment alone does not prove or replace acceptance.

02

Dollar examples

  • Client example: $20 underlying usage × 5 = $100 usage; $100 membership + $100 usage = $200 total
  • Firm · $100 example: $20 underlying usage × 5 = $100 usage; $100 membership + $100 usage = $200 total
  • Firm · $1,000 example: $20 underlying usage × 3 = $60 usage; $1,000 membership + $60 usage = $1,060 total
  • Firm · $10,000 example: $20 underlying usage × 2 = $40 usage; $10,000 membership + $40 usage = $10,040 total
03

New-account pay-stops

  • New accounts may use bounded interim or prepaid payments until ordinary arrears billing is approved
  • Usage pauses at the applicable disclosed pay-stop until the required interim payment is completed
  • The pay-stop is presented before payment
  • No public credit-limit amount is promised or implied
04

Acceptance evidence

  • Start Client requires an affirmative checkbox before the authenticated application checkout can begin
  • The website issues a short-lived signed acceptance receipt containing the contract version, offer, fixed fee and acceptance time without customer data
  • The application must authenticate the purchaser and bind a valid receipt once to that purchaser and successful payment
  • Checkout and paid activation fail closed while the application-owned Client route or offer is unavailable, or when evidence is missing, expired, replayed or mismatched
03 / PAYMENT METHODS AND CUSTOMER-FIRST ACCESS

Payment methods and customer-first access

Stripe and mailed checks provide secure, convenient ways to pay. The goal is continuous, fair access—not nickel-and-diming customers while a check moves through the mail and banking system.

02

Open the support ticket

Before mailing the check, or immediately after, open an early-access support ticket so processing lag does not create a usage or availability gap.

  • Use the Client inquiry to tell us the check is being mailed
  • Use only communication channels you choose to provide
  • Do not include client records, audit evidence, credentials or other sensitive information
Open early-access support ticket
03

When paid coverage begins

  • If early access is granted before the check is collected, the paid coverage and usage window begins at 12:00 a.m. ET on the date the check is collected or processed
  • The paid window does not begin on the mailing date or receipt date
  • Example: a check mailed on the 1st, received on the 4th and collected on the 15th starts the paid window at 12:00 a.m. ET on the 15th
04

Good-faith access and fair value

  • The mailed-check option is intended to make access secure and convenient, not to nickel-and-dime customers
  • Except for an emergency involving security, law, abuse, fraud or immediate platform harm, access may be refused or ended only after reasonable good-faith attempts to discuss the issue through communication channels the user provided, preferably by mutual agreement
  • Emergency suspension may be immediate when reasonably necessary to protect security, comply with law, stop abuse or fraud, or prevent platform harm; communication will follow as soon as reasonably possible
  • Unused prepaid service will be handled through a fair refund or credit proportionate to unused coverage and usage when access is refused or ended
04 / PROFESSIONAL AND PRODUCT BOUNDARIES

Professional and product boundaries

Marketing information and software assistance do not replace the judgment or responsibilities of authorized professionals.

02

Commercial boundary

  • Plans remain subject to accepted or executed terms
  • No plan or partner inquiry grants a source download, software license or repository access
  • Partner code review is limited to in-person visual inspection with Eddie present
  • Remote financial review is permitted only after customer identifiers are removed
  • No customer list, customer data, custom Partner price, equity or profit program is offered
  • Application access remains separately approved
  • Feature availability follows the accepted offer or executed agreement
03

Demonstration boundary

  • ByteTrail records are synthetic examples
  • Demonstrations are not customer files
  • Outputs require review before professional use
  • No demonstration creates reliance or a professional engagement
